If there is one useless cliche we've heard being thrown around over the past 12-24 months it's...

"No one has got any money..."

Those six simple words have changed the world forever, as we have been cast heavily into this thing called a 'recession'. I don't care what country you live in, because this recession 'apparently' affects the entire world, so you will probably have seen the depressing reports in the newspapers and heard your Government banging on about it too.

Those six words have shut down businesses that have been running for generations, in just a few short days. Suddenly their customer pools dry up, and no one is buying from them anymore. Those six words have forced business to make huge cutbacks and hand out redundancies left, right and centre. Thousands of people have become unemployed. People have lost their houses and their marriages have broken down... all thanks to those six words.

But I've been thinking about it a lot, and I don't actually believe the recession exists. Or at least not in the way that everyone seems to think it does. I think that it's a media stunt, created by the Government and exaggerated by the newspapers and television.

Why? Simple. Because the statement made by those six words ("No One Has Got Any Money") is impossible. That's NOT true.

You might be sat there thinking, "Well okay Marc, but I haven't got any money right now. I'm up to my eyeballs in debt and I'm getting closer to bankruptcy every day". But here's the thing... just because LOTS of people haven't got much money, that doesn't mean that NO ONE has any money.

Think about it this way. The recession wasn't caused by the "money fairy" flying down to earth and stealing all of the money. It wasn't started by someone taking all of the money and putting it into a big bin and setting fire to it. It wasn't caused by a bomb at the banks destroying all of the money. No one has taken the gold in the bank vaults to the pawn shop. Would you agree with that?

Okay - so where IS the money? We know it hasn't GONE anywhere. It's just... moved. That's all a recession is in the exciting party that we call "the economy". The money has MOVED. Person A had the money before, and now Person B has the money.

Or, more appropriately, Person A had some money and Person B had some money. Now Person A has less money and Person B has more money.

I have NOT noticed a dip in my income since this recession started. I have NOT found it harder to make sales of my products since the recession started. People in 'normal' jobs are finding themselves being cast out of a job super quick. People who work for themselves offline are finding it harder and harder to survive. The internet marketing world, however 'saturated' or 'competitive' it may get, is continuing to BOOM.

People are finding themselves with more time to dedicate to their businesses, and they are finding the money to spend on internet training. They can see that the information industry is still a multi BILLION (with a 'B') industry, and they know that they can get themselves a piece of that pie.

Remember, SOME people don't have any money. But there are just as many who DO have money. In fact, most of those people have more than they used to. They are the ones who have acquired it from the others. So your job is to FIND the people who DO have money, and give them what they want and need, via the internet.

We, as internet marketers, have the power to deliver ANY type of information product to WHOEVER we want, very quickly and very easily. Help them, and they will give you some of the money they have.

This is a pretty short blog post, but I just got up, flicked on my TV and heard the newsreader say: "...and of course, we all know that no one has got any money right now...".

My face went as red as my hair and I was forced to get up, run to my Macbook and tell you the truth. This recession stuff is BS. The money is STILL on the planet, it's just moved. Go find it... I have. I hope this gives you the motivation you need to keep going.

It's midnight. I really need to stop writing blog posts late at night. I should actually be in bed. I have to be up early tomorrow as Rachel and I are off to Prague for a few days to visit some family. No, I haven't packed yet. Obviously.

I usually recommend that people go to bed at a decent hour, and get up fairly early... to fit in with 'normal' people with 'normal' jobs and 'normal' lifestyles. It's psychologically advantageous to take the recommended dosage of sleep at relevant times, as you are more fit to 'think', 'act' and 'function' efficiently. You can work harder and put the maximum effort into everything you do. Plus you don't end up looking like a mouldy Albert Einstein.

Normally, I 'practise what I preach' in all areas of my life and business, but I generally find it hard to go to sleep early.

(I tried counting sheep, but I ended up trying to think of ways to monetize them. Selling jumpers from a web page? Cloning the sheep with a Wordpress plugin to make more jumpers? Using them as outsource employees? The possibilities are limitless).

So, as is regularly the case, I'm not tired and my head is buzzing with ideas, and thoughts of financial deviancy. I'm obsessed with the creation of wealth, and the processes behind it. The more obscure and exciting the theory, the more I'm interested. I find it really difficult to 'switch off', and I'm constantly thinking of clever promotional strategies. Even late at night when I should be in the land of nod, wherever that is.

For example... back in Febuary 2011, I made $4,000 in one day... by sending a single e-mail. Yes, one e-mail made $4,000. That's a whole other blog post, but the point was that I seem to have a 'knack' of creating insane little theories (or experiments!) which make money, almost by accident.

With that in mind, I want to share something with you which has been on my mind for a few months now. Yes, the cogs have been whirring, spinning and clicking around, firing off the sparks in the fuzzy grey matter in my skull about an unusual theory that I've been discussing with a great buddy of mine.

I'll be totally honest and upfront here. This theory isn't directly linked to internet marketing. There is no big 'blueprint' or 'formula' to follow. This is typically an 'offline' wealth creation plan, but I recently realized that it could also work online. Probably better, if anything.

Also... this is TOTALLY theoretical and I HAVE NOT done it. I'll repeat that. This is TOTALLY theoretical and I HAVE NOT done it. In this day and age of disclaimers and FTC lawsuits I take extra care in ensuring that I'm totally transparent at all times.

With that said, the idea that I'm about to teach you will allow you to take $1, and turn it into $1 million in less than two years. In THEORY.

It's brash and far-fetched, I admit. Perhaps even unrealistic. But it is certainly food for thought.

See, everyone in the online space these days is obsessed with the idea of taking almost NO investment and turning it into a million dollars fast. Most sane people (including me) say that it's almost impossible. But what I DO want to show you is that $1million isn't as far away as you would think. Particularly with the power that internet marketing gives us.

Here's how you could do it...

Here goes...

Take $1. Put it into a bank account. Then find a way to invest the money that will DOUBLE it each month. After just 20 months you will have made $1,000,000. Or $1,048,576 to be precise. Withdraw the money from the account and go mental.

Don't believe me? I didn't at first. But, let's check the math.

Start with $1.
Month 1: Double it to make $2
Month 2: Double it to make $4
Month 3: Double it to make $8
Month 4: Double it to make $16
Month 5: Double it to make $32
Month 6: Double it to make $64
Month 7: Double it to make $128
Month 8: Double it to make $256
Month 9: Double it to make $512
Month 10: Double it to make $1,024
Month 11: Double it to make $2,048
Month 12: Double it to make $4,096
Month 13: Double it to make $8,192
Month 14 Double it to make $16,384
Month 15: Double it to make $32,768

Pretty incredible, right?

Now, before you go posting negative or pessimistic comments, let me explain a couple of things.

1. I know I've made this sound FAR more simple than it is and, although it will be pretty easy for the first few months, further down the line it'll get much harder.

2. I know that this theory is NOT an internet marketing blueprint. I realize that. But that's NOT why I've posted this. The point is, this blog is about making money online... and there is no reason why this 'concept' couldn't be implemented within YOUR online business. IN THEORY.

Right now, in this difficult economic times, we are constantly being told that "no one has any money" and "money is tight" and "businesses are feeling the pinch". It's easy to feel 'down' or like you'll never make it big like those Guru dudes.

I felt like that once too. Now, I'm running a successful six-figure company. This year I expect to turn over in excess of $500,000. Next year we hope to turn over $1million or more. I have the world at my feet and life feels great.

I REALLY want you to be successful oto. That's why I've written this post, to give you the nudge that you need to realize that $1million isn't as far away as you might have originally thought.

Food for thought? I'd hope so.

Just by investing $1, and doubling it each month for twenty months will profit $1,000,000. Offline, that's pretty damn hard. Online, it could be much easier.

It's 9.00pm here in the UK. I've just gotten in from a cracking session at the gym, so I'm tired as hell. I just grabbed a bowl of my favourite Chocolate Weetabix, whacked on my MacBook, set some music playing and shoved my feet on the desk. Classy.

Anyhooo - as I began munching away on this yummy delight (which, apparently, has half of the sugar of the average chocolate cereal!), I took a quick flick through my e-mails, to discover that I had made $185 in the two hours that I spent at the gym.

Yup, there was I, running, sweating, panting, lifting and (occasionally) almost dying... whilst my PayPal account was flooding with payments from customers around the globe. Wahoo. This internet marketing thing ROCKS!

In fact - I'll go to sleep in a few hours time, and wake up tomorrow morning to discover yet MORE cash has come pouring in. I probably couldn't stop it... even if I wanted to. Which, by the way, I don't.

Now, depending on your current income and internet-marketing-status, you might consider that a great achievement, or just pocket change. Either way, you've got to admit that it's pretty incredible that someone can be out and about, enjoying their life (or slogging it away at the G.Y.M.) whilst their bank balance takes care of itself.

In fact, there have been many days when I've done just a little work, and then gone shopping for the day, before returning home to find as much as $5,000 has added itself to my PayPal, ClickBank or other affiliate accounts. It's CRAZY.

Just the other day I went to grab a McDonalds (rendering much of my good gym work useless!) and my iPhone bleeped. I checked it, and found that I had made $8.75. Again, that might seem like nothing, but it was super-cool when I realised that I had just paid for my McDonalds... whilst eating it!

But here's the thing. I'm *NOTHING* special. It's true, I'm a VERY ordinary guy (except for my hair, obviously). All I've done is to stumble across a proven, working formula for making money online. That's it. It revolves around my blog (which you're reading right now!), my e-mail list (which you should definitely join!) and a few simple products. Perhaps you've bought some of them from me in the past.

That's pretty much it. That is the entire business platform that I use to run a six figure business on the internet, and pushing to make it seven figures over the next 12 months.

So, by now, you're probably DESPERATE to know what I did to make this $185 today. Or HOW I made $5k in a single day. Or even how I made $8.75 while eating at McDonalds.

But, I'm not going to tell you. Not here, anyway.

"You big meany!"

Okay - I realize that it sounds a little mean. I don't intend it to. In fact, I always try and help people out as best as I possibly can. So, let me explain why I'm not going to share this with you. Step into my office... erm, sort of.

Reason #1: It's not really that important HOW I made the money. There are THOUSANDS of ways to make money online. Just think... blogging, affiliate marketing, e-mail marketing, creating your own products, coaching other people, niche marketing, CPA marketing etc. The truth is, you KNOW many of those things already.

If there are any of those that you don't know, then simply educate yourself with great quality training products. In actual fact, it would be really difficult for me to explain EXACTLY how I make my money online in a simple blog post, because it takes me 24 weeks to teach it in my coaching program! There is an entire online business system, blueprint and infrastructure to build.

I'll give you a clue though, it involves building a big and responsive e-mail list, creating a relationship with that list, and then e-mail marketing to them well. Promoting products etc.

That's about as much as you need to know on that side of things, anything else would just distract you and send you looking for the next big 'shiny thing'.

Reason #2: There is a deeper, more important lesson to learn from this whimsical tale. I hate to get all deepy, gushy and theoretical on ya now but this is REALLY important. In fact, it's probably the most important thing you'll learn today. So, put down your Chocolate Weetabix (oh wait, that's me), and pay close attention to what I'm about to share with you. It's simple, but mind-blowing.

(Wow, that's an impressive build-up. I guess it had better be good, ey?!)

Here goes...

I want to teach you the NUMBER 1 thing that *YOU* can do (today) to start making money online... FAST. And ANYONE can do this. Right away.

It is...

TAKE ACTION.

That's right. Taking MASSIVE and CONSISTENT action is the MAJOR factor in the success of the biggest Gurus on the planet. It sounds obvious, but if you don't DO anything, then you'll NEVER make any money online. In fact, you'll never be successful in ANY area of life.

Let me put it this way...

- If I didn't set up my blog, you wouldn't be reading this post now and thinking "Damn, this guy knows his shizzle!"
- If I didn't post this blog post, you wouldn't be reading this now and thinking "Damn, this guy kno"... Oh, I just said that.
- If I didn't make any of my products, then I wouldn't be able to sell them to folks and make money.
- If I didn't educate myself in internet marketing strategies and (more importantly) implement them, then I'd still be broke.
- If I didn't send an e-mail to my list this morning promoting a product, then I wouldn't have made $185... (Damn, I just told you how I made that cash! ;-p)

I could go on, and on. But hopefully you see my point.

IF YOU DON'T TAKE ACTION, THEN YOU'LL NEVER MAKE ANY MONEY!!!

Actually - "Not taking action" is probably the BIGGEST thing holding most people back from making money online, and it often leads to information overload. Now sure, educating yourself on internet marketing strategies is super important, and that involves buying courses. I've got nothing against spending money on information. Hell, it's the only way you can learn. But you need to spend it in the right places, and not go crazy buying every 'shiny thing' that gets offered to you.

You could buy every single training course under the sun, but if you don't actually implement any of the stuff you learn then guess what? Exactly... you'll NEVER be successful.

I've met SO many people who spend THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars on information products, and done literally NOTHING with any of them. They look at them once or twice, then put them back on the 'shelf' and look for the next one. The one that looks easier, or quicker. But that never comes. Ever.

Maybe you're one of those people? I was, once. If you are, then my advice to you is simple.

START. TAKING. ACTION. DAMMIT.

It's a daunting prospect, I know. You're probably scared of messing up, or things going wrong. But don't worry. Whatever you do, and however much time you waste 'preparing', it probably won't be perfect the first time around. Be ready to make mistakes... but make sure that you learn from them, and fix it next time. This way you'll be failing forward and improving as you go.

It's a powerful thing to realize that you don't have to get something right, you just have to get something going. You can perfect it as you go. (That's an intentional misquote from the genius brain of Mike Litman, by the way. I didn't create it).

Wow, this has been a much longer blog post than I intended, but I really hope that you found it useful, inspiring and motivational. Remember, there are more ways of making money online than there are years in our lives to learn them, but if you just pick a few, simple and proven tactics, and just take action, then you hold the key to mega success on the internet.

I only make money because I take massive and consistent action. If you do it too, then there is no reason why YOU can't be just as successful (or more successful) than lil' old me.

Let me remind you... If I didn't take action by sending an e-mail to my list this morning, then I wouldn't have made that $185. If I hadn't started building a big and responsive list two years ago, then I wouldn't have had a list to regularly e-mail market to. Makes sense, right?

IF. It's a simple word, but it makes all the difference. IF you take massive and consistent action, then you WILL see results. If you don't, then you won't.

Over the past few months I've become fairly well known for making high-quality sales videos which convert like crazy. In fact, a number of marketers have actually recruited ME to help them make their sales videos - or even make their videos for them! Sales videos are increasing in popularity, and have almost overtaken the work of a long-form sales letter.

So, I was recently chatting to a few marketers about this, and decided that it would probably be helpful for me to make a video and show you the exact set up that *I* use to record my sales videos. The sound goes out of sync with the video about half way through, but I'm not sure why. Sorry about that, but the content is great!

It all started about six weeks ago...

I got a call from my friend, and mentor, Alex Jeffreys, asking me if I was interested in 'hosting' and 'compering' a live seminar he was organizing in London with Dean Holland.

Well, I know that if Alex is running a workshop or seminar, then I need to be there. I even flew out to Las Vegas back in 2009, so the fact that it was happening just a couple of hours away was a HUGE bonus!

So, that was that. I was the official MC for the 'Instant Profit Seminar... LIVE IN LONDON!'. My role was pretty simple, I just had to take to the stage and 'warm up' the crowd for the speakers, Dean & Alex.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep...

Fast forward to last weekend, and that was the noise my alarm clock made at 4.00am to wake me up ready to jump on a 5.35 train from Doncaster to London. (Somehow I had managed to find a bargain ticket at £10.50!). Two hours and two minutes later, I jumped off the train at London Kings Cross and took the short tube journey around to Camden Tube Station.

From there it was a simple, two-minute walk (via McDonalds Breakfast!) to the Holiday Inn in Camden Town.

I was a little later than I had intended, so I was delighted to arrive to see the lobby of the hotel absolutely PACKED full of eager, excited workshop delegates, waiting for the seminar room to open!

Simon Dodd & Jouvan Johnson were working hard on the registration desk checking in the arrivals, so I jumped the queue and dashed into the seminar room to get ready for the day ahead and plan some final bits and pieces with a very nervous Alex & Dean.

I took a look at the planned schedule for the day, so that I'd know what I was hosting, and I was immediately excited by some of the content that Dean and Alex had prepared.

At 9.00 the room was full of exciting, bustling delegates and I took to the stage. After a brief crowd-warming activity, I welcomed Alex Jeffreys to the stage to begin his first presentation.

From there, the seminar was a whirlwind ride into the world of internet profits, with presentations from both Dean and Alex. I don't want to reveal too much information, because I'm sure the recordings of this seminar will become available shortly and you should definitely try and get your hands on them. Watch this space for the details coming soon.

BUT... I think I can sneak open the doors a little bit, and reveal just a few of the insanely powerful content that Alex and Dean revealed:

This was 48 hours of the best, strongest and most powerful internet marketing content imaginable.

Oh - and the best part of it all? This was content-driven, and NOT a pitch fest. We're all sick of turning up to seminars, where we've been promised the earth but a dozen speakers deliver nothing more than a whole load of nonsense which requires parting with cash...

I'm delighted to say that this WAS NOT the case with the Instant Profit Seminar. The content was all real, actionable and super-powerful.

Not only that, but we got to spend 48 hours networking, relaxing, partying and meeting some incredible people.

In short, 'Instant Profit Seminar' was one MASSIVE celebratory party with around 200 delegates, some of the finest training on the planet and lots of fun, alcohol - on an evening, obviously - and LOTS of fun.

All in all, the 'golden nuggets' that stood out for me from the weekend were:

1. Take rapid, consistent action
2. Use mind maps;
3. Build a list;
4. Run WSO's;
5. Don't chase the money, let the money chase after you.

Listen guys and gals, I know I've not been a very consistent blogger as we've been completely re-building my blog from scratch... but I've promised Alex and Dean that I'm going to continue growing my blog and posting on a regular basis as I work hard towards achieving my goals.

Right now, my big goal is to earn $500,000 by 1st January 2012. Follow this blog, and you'll be following my journey!

Hey... hows it going?! Welcome to my brand new, totally refurbished internet marketing blog - although you're a little early.

This has been a 'work-in-progress' for literally MONTHS... mainly because I'm very indecisive and I'm regularly changing my mind about how this place should look. Lots to think about. Wallpaper, carpet, curtains, etc. My designer-dudes have been working overtime!

But, things are almost ready to go now. We're just putting the last few bits and pieces in place and we should be live, rockin' & rollin' in the next few days time.
